"The strongest won": the Rosgvardia denied the fact of a fight between the special forces during tests on a maroon beret

The incident during the qualification tests for the right to wear a maroon beret, which took place at the Tambukan training center of the Russian Guard from October 11 to 15, became known on Sunday evening according to a number of Telegram channels. 

From scattered messages, mainly with links to anonymous sources, the following picture emerged.

During the final tests, which include a 12-kilometer march across rough terrain in full ammunition, some participants from Chechnya allegedly behaved dishonestly and covered part of the way by car.

The violation was recorded by the judges and the applicants were removed from the competition.

However, the next morning, all the suspended fighters still received maroon berets.

It was also reported that after this, the soldiers of the 604th Red Banner Special Forces Center "Vityaz" decided from Monday in protest not to wear their maroon berets, replacing them with ordinary statutory caps.

News of the incident spread rapidly in the media.

The situation on Monday night was commented on by the Russian Guard.

“With some surprise we read the news that allegedly today the soldiers of the special units of the National Guard took off their maroon berets in connection with the allegedly incorrect refereeing of the special forces at the competitions.

Yes, indeed, any competition and competition, especially with the participation of special forces, is always emotions.

This should be treated as it happens in any competition.

And in this case, there were no fights, let alone a showdown.

These are just emotions, and the strongest won, with which we congratulate the winning team.

Note that maroon berets are a symbol of valor and honor.

Our special units did not take it off even in front of the enemy, and even more so as a sign of disagreement with the outcome of the competition, ”said the official representative of the department Valery Gribakin.

In the afternoon of October 18, the situation was discussed at an emergency meeting of the main council of the Krapovy Berets in the presence of Lieutenant General Igor Semilyak, head of the Main Directorate of Special Forces of the Russian Guard, and instructors who took exams from the special forces at the Tambukan training center. 

“Today, at the divorce, all the special forces were in maroon berets, and not only in 604, but also in other special forces units.

We do not divide - the Chechen Republic, or some other region.

The right to receive a maroon beret can only be those who are really normal and clearly pass all the tests.

No favors were given to anyone.

At the council of maroon berets, we did not find any abuses, all this was more inflated by the media, "Sergei Lysyuk, head of the Association of Special Forces units" Brotherhood of Vityaz maroon berets "told RT after the meeting. 

Commenting on the situation in an interview with military journalist Semyon Pegov, he also categorically denied the fact of any fight during the tests and noted that their results for the participants were within the framework of traditional indicators.

Lysyuk also said that the son of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, Abdul-Kerim, took part in the competition, but he did not receive a maroon beret, since he was withdrawn from the tests at the very beginning.

The Chechen authorities have not yet commented on the incident.

The Minister of Information of Chechnya, assistant to the head of the republic, Akhmed Dudayev, did not answer RT's call on Monday.

But, even before the media resonance on his page on VKontakte, the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, congratulated seven representatives of the republic who deserved the right to wear a beret. 

“Based on the results of the assignments, seven of our special forces were awarded the right to wear the maroon beret. All the tests have been successfully passed by dear BROTHERS - the commander of the OMON of the UFSVNG RF for the Chechen Republic Anzor Bisaev and the commander of the SOBR SOBR "Terek" of the UFSVNG RF for the Chechen Republic Saydi Lorsankaev. In addition, Movsar Abdulkhadzhiev, Ramzan Mukayev, Khizir Musaev from the special motorized regiment "North" named after Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov of the Grozny formation of the Russian Guard, as well as Idris Atashev and Tamerlan Sadulayev from the special motorized battalion of the South Guard formation. It is with great pleasure that I congratulate our fighters on winning the right to wear maroon berets! I wish you family well-being and success in your service activities for the benefit of our great Fatherland - Russia! ”Kadyrov wrote. 

He also noted that 43 krapoviks are serving in the Chechen special forces.

“This testifies to the high level of physical and combat training of our soldiers!” Kadyrov stressed.

In 2019, the head of Chechnya announced a bonus of one million rubles for employees of the republic's special forces, who have earned the right to wear a maroon beret.

In addition, 15 soldiers of power units, who successfully passed all tests that year, were awarded medals "Defender of the Chechen Republic" and "For Services to the Chechen Republic".
